Regarding other apps, are you logged in on those apps? If not, they could be loading from a different default instance that is federated.

I’m not sure if Boost does this, but some apps such as Sync may load the community directly from the community’s home instance rather than via your home instance under certain conditions

Off topic, but I really like the styling you’ve used there. I tend to go with dark mode all the time, and failing that, with just white, but the pastel(ish) punk looks cool. I’ll need to try something like that sometime.
