    I tell Blexit people:

You’re a black American who abhors the Democratic Party because you’re a conservative.

I’m a black American who abhors the Democratic because I’m a socialist.

    We are not the same.

It’s sad because I love it when black Americans are socially conscious to the point of being revolutionary socialists that reject liberalism. I’m quite a fan of Tupac, so to see some of these Candace Owens type try to spin this literal communist figure in music as some kind of nationalistic conservative dickhead is especially infuriating. To me, it’s the most horrid and uncomfortable bastardization of a very astute and aware figure in black American history.

Tbh, in the Latino/a community, we get a lot of people that are reactionary or conservative ourselves, though of course, that’s not to excuse the white supremacist power structure, which arguably supports the conservative elements.

I’ve had a lot of bigots and chuds with Spanish names harass me for being trans on Instagram. I can take your word for it, but I know a good deal of Latino people are not enabling of such horrendous behavior.

Oh, absolutely, and we have a radical side to us; many immigrants from Latin America have lead radical movements as well as union movements.
