Interesting to note that Lemmy breaks federation conventions for identity in that a community is supposed to be something you can message to. And Lemmy allows usernames to be addresses equal to community. So Lemmy can have linux@example.com as both a user and a group.
I come from email background in late 1980’s onward, and basically unified namespace is how a mailing list worked, a ‘community’ would be like a mailing list address, equal in address convention as a user mailbox.

Lemmy.ml says there is a comment that is missing, it says ‘2 comments’ when I don’t see it. With the reply you are reading, it will now say ‘3 comments’
