    I cannot fathom why they did not do what normal people do and rearrange the pepperoni prior to putting it in the oven.

      It’s usually better, depending on the type of base you have, not to mess around for too long before you put it in the oven. I guess that’s only really a worry if you’re trying to slide the pizza in to the oven off a peel instead of just going the easier route and assembling it on a tray that you can just put in the oven. Even then though I wouldn’t want to fuss around with exactly evenly distributing the pepperoni slices because I just couldn’t muster the willpower to care.

      As is often the case in life, I think the answer here is just more pizza. Just making a lot of pizzas to share so that if you felt like you happened to get the short end of the stick in terms of pepperoni coverage on your share of the slices on one pizza, you can always just have more pizza until you’re satisfied. The worst thing that can happen is that you have too much pizza which only means you now have left over pizza which is a great position to be in. Besides, on average the slices will have mostly the same amount of pepperoni even if not exactly and a bit variety in the balance between slices is no bad thing.
