Still working out my understanding of these cross-federated ActivityPub nodes. Knowing, at some deep level, that whatever I discover will likely by obsolete within a few months.

And now I can see my (mastodon-posted) reply to my (Lemmy-posted) comment. Looking at it through lemmy.ml.

Conclusion: administration of any kind of node in the fediverse is not yet a task for the faint of heart.

My guess is that federation between us and lemmy dot ml specifically is still sorta broken. It’s been weird lately

Hell, there’s even been issues for me to even connect to lemmy dot ml because it seems to crash randomly from time to time. Literally any other lemmy instance seems to function normally for me

Feeling like I just leveled up with my appreciation of this fediverse stuff
