    I think The Flash will have success on international markets. I live in France, and many scandals don’t reach the ears of the average citizen. Tabloid stuff doesn’t cross their radar. I’m generalising here, of course, because there are people who are in the know, but then there is another chunk of the population who don’t know.

    Another example I could cite is Johnny Depp. I teach at different schools and in one class of 20 students, aged 20+, I mentioned that it wasn’t a good idea to roll out the red carpet for him at Cannes and they were like, “why not? He didn’t do anything wrong, it was his ex!”

    I then asked what her name is and what movies she appears in.

    They didn’t know.

    Sorry, I digress.

      while i agree that Miller’s transgressions would probably have less of a drag on box office sales abroad, the film still looks terrible and has only gotten mixed reviews, another in a long line of tepid releases from DC. The French may not care about what Miller has done, but they care if the film is terrible.

      I also don’t think the Johnny Depp comparison is apt, as many people here believed he was innocent, even before he was finally vindicated.

      but I digress…
