The city of Kansas City, Missouri, asked design, engineering and other professional firms to submit ideas for a rapid transit option connecting the airport to downtown.
Better late than never, this would have been a huge win to have in place before the World Cup.
I mean, it would also take away a large amount of income from rideshare drivers. When I was driving for Uber, the rushes to and from KCI were some of the best paying rides, and everyone knew it. While I do like the thought of expanding public transportation in the long-run, especially programs like light rail and electric busses–there needs to be consideration for the people and businesses that currently rely on that traffic.
