Free speech is a right to defend people from the government, not to enable every asshole to spew their shit into everyone’s feed.

Free speech doesn’t just mean protection from the government’s suppression of speech, that’s the 1st amendment to the US Constitution. The 1st amendment simply restricts the US government from abridging freedom of speech.
