Hey there!
New beginnings can be hard, but I want this community to happen. As a German Giants fan, trying to connect to other fans would be one of very few things still basically forcing me back to reddit.
Currently on vacation but when I’m back home I want to try my best to contribute.
What’s up with you guys? How are you doing? Where are you from? What’s your best Giants memory?
Hoping to hear from someone out there!
Welcome!
I’ve been wondering who’s going to be our leading receiver this season, not including Waller. As of right now I’d guess Parris Campbell. He has the talent.
Wow that’s dope man.
Ich habe einige Jahre in der Schule Deutsch gelernt. Aber es ist nicht sehr gut.
It’s so hard to keep track of my communities right now, I’m just seeing this post 4 days later. But once the algorithm gets fixed we should be in much better shape.
I’m a New Yorker and lifelong Giants fan 😅.
And obviously my favorite memory is jointly the 2007 and 2011 playoffs. 2007 was more magical, but 2011 I understood the game much better and was much more invested.
We’re gonna have a great season, and Sync is making an app for Lemmy. Good times ahead.
Well, at least those two German sentences came out just fine ;-)
Hey, thanks for starting this up. Coming over here from reddit also, and I’d love to see this community grow. Been a Giants fan most of my life here in NJ. Best Giants memory would probably be when we won the 2007 NFC championship game. First time I ever cried watching a sports game. I knew we’d win it all after that
Isn’t it funny that it wasn’t the Super Bowl itself?
For me, it’s Victor Cruz’ 99yd touchdown against the Jets in 2011. I know, that’s still only regular season, but I was just electrified by that play. I was still very naive about football and didn’t know too much, but in that moment I just felt that I had picked the right team by pure luck :-)
That’s because I had been lucky enough to get into NFL football and become a Giants fan during the 2011 preseason. Was on vacation in New York and we figured we wanted to visit one of those American sports we don’t really have in Europe. There just happened to be a Giants preseason game against the Bears when we had the time to go. It was preseason, I had little idea what was going on, the stadium was clearing out very soon, but I still enjoyed it more than I ever had a soccer game in Germany. I was hooked.
Was still studying back then so I tried to find a live stream for every game that season. Mind you, 1pm games are 7pm games in Germany, and well, the fun really starts for the 4pm and prime time kickoffs :-)
