Right now, I can see the same link several times on the front page, repeated across different magazines. Here’s an example:

Is this supposed how it works? If you want to add a link to a magazine, and it’s already added to another, shouldn’t you be able to add the existing one to the new magazine instead of duplicating the link?
If the same URL/topic is posted in multiple communities, I would like to see that they’re different (like the title and thumbnail) and have a user’s words to frame the discussion (I think that works better here, at least I remember needing to post a comment on a link post on the old site) rather than just the link. Otherwise, I don’t see much value in it (at least while we’re still at a point where low content means this happens commonly).
Even then, it would be cool to swap different comment sections (link itself, tech take by user 1, etc) easier than an ‘other discussions’ tab.
Sure. I think it’d be nice if it wasn’t repetitive like that, but you have to remember that while you or we might see 3, not everyone does. They may just get one or the other.
I do think it’d be handy if kbin had a toggleable feature that works similar to reddit’s “crossposting” where it detects who all shared the same url, and then you can look through the threads. though poor ernest already has a lot on his plate so maybe down the road a bit?
