Basically they created and profited off a market of skin trading. When other companies accidentally create an illegal skin economy they’re quick to shut it down. Valve was like “nah lets make a quick buck off of it instead” People Make Games has great videos about some of the other fucked up things they do if this piques your interest.
Valve gets away with way too much, honestly. They’re a pretty shit company that routinely dips into dark money shit.
