In other words, what’s a song that you can listen 100 times back to back and still enjoy it. For me, it’s Door by Caroline Polachek; the song manages to be the perfect balance between catchiness and entrancement to not get tiring.
What about you?
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac
Sweet tides by theievery corporation. Halcyon by orbital
Spain, by Chick Corea
Dark Star by Grateful Dead Every instance has its own flavor, and beautiful explorations based on how the band feels on that night. I’ve yet to hear a rendition of it that I didn’t love.
I’m Waiting For The Man by The Velvet Underground. Perfect fusion of protopunk with early-60s rock 'n roll.
Lento by Julieta Venegas. It’s my childhood favorite!
Amarok by Mike Oldfield. I’m always happy to rediscover it. A bit on the long side, but that only works in its favor.
Diggy diggy hole, popcorn, classical gas
ETA: Diggy diggy hole is amy all time favorite earworm. Also 95% of everything Randy Rainbow has done since 2016
Mitsubishi Sony by Frank Ocean
Bonkers song, really sounds like something flume or vegyn would make, with a strange verse to boot… just so immaculately executed and mesmerizing to me
