I carry this thing ALWAYS! No matter if outside, inside or at night going to the toilet.

Edit: Carry SAKs for many years now. This specifically since last year, when my wife gave it to me for my birthday.

Nice! Quite the package. I just wished they’d be customizable. I carry a separate knife for the blade anyway and would prefer less bulk to saw, hook, file corkscrew and others. I didn’t know they had small pliers on them, that’s awesome.

Absolutely. That thing comes in so damn handy since I got father last year. Definitely don’t want to miss it. As you said, it’s quite the package, while still being able to be carried comfortably in my right front pocket (attached to the Victorinox belt chain when going outside). When I first came across it I was throwing an eye on the smalles version, but then I thought it’s not that much more money and really not that much bigger, so why not going with the L and be prepared for everything. The ONLY downside I see is, that the screwdriver is not positioned in the middle, that’s a bit stressful from time to time, while still being absolutely usable. If these were customizable (in an easy way), it would be my first change to place the screwdriver in the middle.

Also used to carry a separate knife additionally, but realized at some point, that I don’t get that much use out of it, so I only carry a Böker Plus Atlas in my pouch (which mostly sits in car or backpack).

I just never really liked to use the victorinox knives for food very much, in my experience they can be a bit difficult to clean when for example fruit juice runs into the handle…

Thanks for sharing, I’ll take a closer look next time I’m at the shop. Might be a perfect fit for my work bag…

Hmm yes I get what you mean. I just rinse it with clean water afterwards and re-lube it from time to time. But yes, it’s not perfect and definitely not my preferred tool for food. But if there is no other choice it gets the job done very well. But again… if that’s a daily usecase I totally get carrying an additional single knife
