This is pathetic and harmful behaviour by the Australian government

With regards to the proxy war being waged by NATO against Russia, what Australia needs to understand is that the vast majority of the world sees the situation clearly and is basically on Russia’s side. (Yes, this may be a shock to the person who has only been imbibing propaganda about the war but you will quickly find out it’s the truth if you talk to any person from Latin America, Africa, Indonesia, the Middle East, China, etc etc about the matter).

So Australia just reinforces its perception of being a pathetic vassal state with this move, given to abjectly craven political stunts like this one. Shame on Albanese and shame on his government. This won’t be forgotten and will cost Australia in diplomatic prestige (such as we still command).

Yeah, I’m considering this a rule #1 violation. You’re being a dick. Take it as your first warning.

Russia invaded Ukraine, they have even tried to assasinate the elected leaders of that country.
They continue to perform what are basically terrorist attacks with long range drones and missiles against civilian targets.
Most recently they destroyed a dam that they controlled, in a manner which could only be achieved from within, that they had spent the last few months filling beyond it’s designed capacity.

Despite this, the weapons supplied by NATO for Ukranian defense are given under the proviso that they not be used to attack Russia - hence why the Himars are not shooting into Russia, despite them having the range, accuracy and valid targets.

Whilst some of the world might be on Russias side (the Chinese government would certainly like to absorb Taiwan and are watching to see how the world has reacted), your statement about the majority of the world being on Russias side is laughable, simply based on the visible support from broader Europe - especially the neighbouring countries such as Poland.

Australia is effectively a vassal of the US, that part is true.

The rest of this is just bullshit and you sound like a cooker.

Edit: Hey @lodion@aussie.zone , I was tempted to ask for mod status, but I don’t know if I can abide by

      1. Be respectful. Everyone should feel welcome here.

      The above isn’t welcome.

Let’s see how this claim weathers close examination over the next few months. I will tell you now that it will weather it just as well as the claim that Russia blew up their own pipeline did. Also I suggest you check who controls the dams (and their outflow) on the Dnieper above the dam that was blown up. It’s not Russia and the deliberate huge releases of water before the dam was blown up and now the complete shutdown of inflows (to expedite the dam drying up faster) after the explosion should provide a strong clue, to any non-brainwashed mind, as to who was behind this act of eco-terrorism (just as the destruction of Nordstream was also an act of massive eco and state sponsored terrorism).

the Chinese government would certainly like to absorb Taiwan

Taiwan is already part of China, The US, the United Nations, Australia and virtually every other country in the world formally acknowledges this fact.

simply based on the visible support from broader Europe

Europe is one small part of the world and is quickly losing what significance it used to have, as they foolishly bankrupt and deindustrialise themselves. There are close to 8 billiion people in the world - Europe’s population is around 350 million (from memory). And you’ll also find that inside Europe, while most of its pathetic leadership class is gung-ho with the NATO proxy war, many of its citizens aren’t, because they realise how criminal it is, and how economically punishing for them too.

        Finally,

        you sound like a cooker

and then you call to the mod quoting the ‘be respectful’ rule, without any sign of perceiving the irony of doing so. Only a weak mind that is easily brainwashed would not be able to see the hypocrisy of your action there.

I called out that fact that I cannot be respectful to people like you, there is no irony in the statement.

If you’re not being paid to spread this nonsense, you’re missing a trick.
