Or do i have to use my browser?
Jerboa for Android, mlem for ios
Thanks!
Looks like for iOS this is still in beta, so you will need to install “testflight” from the appstore (allows to install beta apps) and then go to https://testflight.apple.com/join/xQfmkJhc on your iphone/ipads browser and accept the invite link. Then you can install mlem, start it and log in (dont forget to type in the address of your instance at the top)
Typing this from mlem and the experience is incredible and very Apollo-like. And this is a pre-release version – great work by the dev.
Oooh, thanks for sharing that info for others!
I’m using mlem and it mostly works fine, though it is pretty early access still and has its quirks
This echoes my Jerboa experience.
These are still early days.
There’s also memmy for ios now (beta, in test flight)
Just installed it, thanks for the recommendation. I like its interface so far, I might use this instead of Mlem.
Trying memmy now for the first time, ty for the heads up. I like some of the design better than Mlem, but there are def quirks that need to be worked out on both. Nice to see this much interest in developing for Lemmy!
Memmy dev here. Definitely a big work in progress but I’m doing nightly builds so you’ll get changes often while we work out something functional. You can follow progress on GitHub or on our [https://lemmy.ml/c/memmy]. Thanks!
Thank you for your work!! I posted in another comment, but it really reminds me of Reddit Sync, which I loved when I had Android. It’s off to a great start already
I like Jerboa but, is there a way to collapse comments and replys on a post? I just can’t figure it out
Tap the comment and it will collapse.
Doesn’t seem to work here…I’ve tried everything thing but no8 seems to collapse the comments. I wonder was is wrong, I’ll try to update but I’ve only installed Jerboa a few days ago.
Go to jerboa github and download the recent apk (v 0.0.34). If you need help, reply to this post.

Click the speech icon under the text in the post on Jerboa to reply to it.
There’s Jerboa, which is pretty good. I’m still getting used to it’s functionality.
I haven’t figured out how to subscribe to new communities on Jerboa. I keep having to go back into the web browser to do it.
If you are on this post : click on the name of the community at the top (above the post title). Then the community opens and you can click “subscribe”. In some communities you need to be approved, then you see “pending”.
Right, sorry, I was misremembering my issue. There’s no search bar on Jerboa, so I can’t find new communities through the app unless they happen to pop up on All.
The second icon in the bottom navigation bar of the main view gets you to the list of your subscribed communities. In the searchbar at the top you can search for other communities over all instances.
Ah, thanks! I thought that would just search my subscribed communities!
Scrolling feels really janky

Jerboa seems alright, been using it myself.
What’s this error I keep getting, "value type of <html> java something something
If you joined lemmy.ml it was probably because of the instance being slow. You can always create an account on a less popular instance to avoid that issue. I don’t think it’s Jerboa specific.
Makes sense. Thanks!
NATIVE ALPHA for Android. It’s better than Jerboa (IMHO)
Jerboa seems fine but the more I use the small things do annoy me. I mostly use the website on my laptop so it isn’t that big of a deal to me.
Native Alpha shows any website in a borderless full-screen window using Android System WebView
Hermit is what I use instead of native alpha. Mainly for it’s web monitoring and user script support.

Nice app! I don’t want to pay for the extra feature tbh :)
I use Thunder

To anyonone out there please add kbin support for your app if when possible.
