    Nice, very interesting form. Looks like a mix of a semi-cascade and literati style. I also have a spruce growing right now but it will probably take another year until it’s big enough to shape into a bonsai. I was thinking of going for a simple formal upright style, but this makes me want to go a bit more extreme.

      I was originally thinking formal upright too, but after I got started, I figured I might as well go nuts. I assume I’ll probably kill a few things before I get it down, and it’s good practice. Also it was like $10-$20 at a plant store.
