For me it’s pic related. Fairly cheap wine from my chunk of the Southern Cone; I pay the equivalent of two and half euros/dollars for it. And yet it’s so good - fruity, but not sweet. It rolls so well on the tongue. Perfect with some head cheese or salami.
The grape is locally known as “Bordô” or “Terci” but you’ll find better info about it by its posh name “Ives Noir”. Annoying grape; not as much as Pinot Noir (aka The Devil’s Grape), but it’s rather sensitive.

I’m no connoisseur, but the flavours that I feel are berries and honey. It’s really fruity, even being a dry wine; more than the local (same region) Cabernet Sauvignon and mixed/“mystery” stuff. (I’m looking at you, Campo Largo wine. Made with wines far, far from Campo Largo city. Made with “mystery blend”.)
And it’s funny for me because I’ve been drinking this since adulthood, and it’s cheap because I live relatively close to the production sites, but I actually like it better than some stuff from Chile and Mendoza. (Except the Pinot Noir from Mendoza. Fuck, the grape might be the devil’s grape but the wine is divine.)
(Also this should not imply that Chilean and Argie wine are bad - far from it, they’re great, I bet that people who like tangier wines than I do would have a blast with them.)
