Not sure the subclass of Drow though. I think Lolth-Sworn is more evil than I’d want, but looking for middle of the road where I can decide on the spot to go either way. Is #Seldarine “good” or middle-ish?

A charisma based caster is probably the best idea for a new player. Sorcerers have great AOE options and will be good at talking their way out of situations.
