What do you mean as good as dead. I lf you haven’t noticed committed are popping up left and right. Give it sometime and the fedeverse will supass Reddit. It just doesn’t look like it right now
I It’s meant as a comment towards Web3, not Lemmy. Nothing but a collection of useless, failed projects.
Mastoodon has been around for 8 years though. “give it time” is starting to feel like bitcoin’s “it’s still new, developing technology. give it time” (after 13 years)
@hugz Naw if you think about it Reddit was using mastodon internally even though they had Reddit or slack at least. lemmy might be taking the mass exodus but i think mastodon can really comepete against Reddit and Twitter. we gotta give it more time. I have an account on mastodon and lemmy just in case
