Hi everyone!

First of all, welcome!

This is my first time moderating a community, so there will likely be some issues to iron out shortly, especially if we get more people over from Reddit - please be patient as we work out these changes.

In addition, I’ve just copied over the r/dndmemes rules to the sidebar - these might go through some changes in the coming days, but for now please try to abide by them as-is.

Not looking to be a mod, just wanted to say thanks and good luck! Leaving Reddit after so many years was a bittersweet goodbye, so seeing Lemmy already had a DnDmemes community is wonderful!

I’m glad I’m finding new versions of the communities I liked from reddit so much.

The more places like this exist, the less I even care that reddit is gone. Reddit was only useful as a path to you fine people.

I may have broken a rule without thinking … Sorry. Reposting old memes from reddits dndmemes isn’t allowed according to the rules in the sidebar? I was trying to create content to browse, to get the ball rolling. Should I remove my posts?

Don’t trust me completely, but it says !DnDMemes and not r/DnDMemes so I think you’re in the clear. Again, don’t take my word for it as I’m only 90% sure but I feel thats how it works.

This site is very different from Reddit. (ok, I mean not polar opposites, but you know what I’m trying to say)

It’s a good kind of different though. Reddit doesn’t allow users this much control. That’s the difference between using social media (Twitter, tumblr, Facebook), forums (Reddit) and the fediverse (Here)
