    Mastodon has that feature, but Lemmy has not added that feature yet. From a technical perspective, I don’t think there’s anything preventing it, the developers just need to code it. I’m sure they have their hands full dealing with the reddit explosion right now though.

      Identity has generally been a little less important on Reddit than on Twitter though. People kinda enjoy anonymity on Reddit and make new accounts all the time, the reputation and karma is only sorta worth keeping. More important than migration I think will just be profile links/verifications so that a username on one instance and the same username on another don’t get confused if they’re not the same person, and there’s a chance of determining which one is authoritative.
