The Ten Commandments are a “historical document”?! Then where the hell is the original one at? This is the equivalent of teaching the Necronomicon In school because it’s also a historical document.

I am assuming this is to discredit Satanism as “ahistorical,” so just petition that they now have to include the 5 pillars of Islam alongside the 10 commandments in curriculum.

No seriously, I want that and the sign posted in stone.

Just because I’m major fan (Gotta include Matt Ruff’s work too fixing his…errors) doesn’t mean I can’t smoke you at Lovecraft Letter & Fluxx and welcome you into a Lovecraft/Mage:tAs/Firefly 'Verse TTRPG.

When I read this I thought they were adding the ten commandments verbatim to the body of law

they don’t care. they read the constitution like they do the bible, or even just the list in it they proclaim to love so much. just a few bits and pieces–whatever happens to suit their agenda at the time.

The Magna Carta? “If a man dies owing money to Jews, the debt is cancelled” or “No widow shall be compelled to mary”? Somehow, I think the first is more in line with their philosophy… maybe “Heirs may be given in marriage, but not someone of a lower social standing”.

How utterly bizarre… besides the fact hardly any of it is still in force even in England!

Silly rabbit! The Mormon theocracy has no constitutional concerns. The only representation they care about in government is their own.
