I only just saw this on Mastodon, no idea how I missed it when it came out. I loved season 1, I’m a huge fan of the book.

Only thing I was at all mad about with the show was that I thought they kinda missed the punchline of the whole book.

    I’m excited for season 2!

Yeah I had know idea it was in the works and then I found out it’s coming next month it was great news. You know what they say. The wheel weaves as the wheel wills.

Ahh I see you’re a fellow wheel of time fan

I’ve known this was coming for a while because I have seen Gaimann post about it a few times- IIRC he is involved and the story will be based off of the drafts of the sequel he and Pratchett ultimately abandoned.

That’s awesome, I actually just started my first Discworld book today. And yeah I’m still waiting for a wheel of time community to pop up.

For some reason I’m not able to find that community through my lemmy.world account. I can see it in my browser but not when I try to find it using my username.

I thought the first season was decent, but still sort of awkward, I didn’t really get the hype over the chemistry between the two leads everyone was talking about. I’m a huge Pratchett fan too.

I really enjoyed the first season, hope they’re able to recapture that magic in the second.

Same! Looking forward to the second season but a little anxious, I think regardless I’ll enjoy seeing David Tennant and Michael Sheen back.
