If you block spam SMSes or assholes and spambots on chat services, it’s basically that. No matter how much the other person tries, they can no longer get through to you on that service. In most cases, it’s as if they no longer exist.
Yeah that’s dark. For example I blocked my first person here on Lemmy. What looks like a Chinese Communist Party shill. Easy peasy, don’t have to think about them anymore. If I had to deal with that account hounding me still, it’d do my head in. Glad I’m not on the twitter thing.
