I think the trick will be working through some growing pains here while communities develop.
So far everything I’ve seen has been pretty positive though.
This is key. If folks can push through a new system I think Reddit will take a big hit.
That being said, once the 3rd party apps are gone, most of us will be using a new system regardless (official, shitty Reddit app or Lemmy) so might as well keep going with the better alternative
