    Back in 2017 (so 13 years after he died), I was volunteering at a youth club near me, helping the kids out with their radio station project, and teaching them about podcasting. I mentioned Peel when talking about different styles you could use to address your audience.

    Not one of them had any idea who he was.

    Which made sense; the oldest among them was perhaps 1 when he died. But damn, it still made me feel old…

    Holy smokes! What an incredible project. Thanks so much for sharing. This should keep me busy for a while. While there are plenty of bands I know, there are just as many there that I don’t, and that’s maybe more exciting.

      He always played and interesting mix of genres, I liked the fact they were live studio recordings, I always found it added a little extra something to the music

        I’ve been involved with a live local music radio show for years. It’s a beast to organize and make happen, but it’s so cool to give folks the opportunity to have their music heard live.
