Does Lemmy use the same markdown as Reddit? Can I take my wetshaving database Reddit markdown and just copy paste it here like I do with the Reddit sotd’s?
I’ll test it myself later today and answer my own question if nobody beats me to it.
I can’t get the bullets to show, but I typed same format as I would on Reddit to get them.

Ok, very strange. If I type a single asterisk then click the bold icon it works. If I type asterisk space double asterisk it fails and takes away previous bullets, but bolds anything between double asterisks.
Ok maybe I figured it out. I double enter each line on Reddit, but if I do that here, the bullets break, but the bold stays.
Same deal.
I find that Lemmy uses pretty much the same markdown syntax; at least for my typical SOTD posts.
