Whether it’s YouTube, Twitter or Reddit, all corporations that make their profits from advertising on the back of UGC have the same systemic failure in their calculus.
There’s a monetary incentive to provide a platform to hate. There isn’t one to deplatform it.
Is the profit motive the only issue here? IIRC YouTube leadership was forced to speak at congress hearings because the gov suspected them of biasing against conservative viewpoints.
