Windows 11 version 24H2 may enforce a new hardware requirement that will block older processors from running the operating system.

microsoft is allowing x64v2 just for now, while linux will keep working for the foreseeable future.

also not every distro is dropping older chips. better time than ever to switch, if you still use these older cpus.
