My first acryllic painting, inspired by this photo

I started out trying to copy it directly, because I know there’s value in learning how to mix the right colors and paint what you see. But it was so dull it was making me hate painting. I covered it up and started over again just using the image as a starting point and immediately felt better about the whole thing.
