Found a good round up for running Arena on linux. I’ve used the Lutris method before successfully.

What a fantastic article. I have tried with Lutris successfully, and Wine unsuccessfully in the past, but Lutris has not been working for me lately. I think I have to do a clean Linux install and start from there but it’s very annoying. I’m temporarily using Arena on Mac but I can’t wait to run through these options this weekend and re-try.

What I would really love is just a properly maintained Docker image to run this on Linux! 🙏

Interesting idea. I’d not even thought of that as a possibility. From what i understand the Lutris stuff is just scripts that do specific wine configuration steps, it probably would not be too hard to adapt those to docker.

      Worth looking into.

Since MTG:A is now on Steam, easiest way is to play it via Steam Proton.

Currently getting a platinum rating via ProtonDB - should havent any issues MTG:A on Steam

I’ve been playing it using Steam with Proton and it’s worked fantastically, both on my desktop Arch machine as well as my Steam Deck. The only downside is that now I can see how many hours I’ve wasted away playing it.
