How would everybody feel about game threads? We’re in the NBA and NHL finals, so there’s some good discussion to be had. The Reddit game threads are all essentially Twitch chat at this point, so I’m hoping that this smaller community will be better.
I might try running one for an NBA finals game that I’m home for. Any thoughts?

I’ve talked to the admins about coding a game thread bot. I’m currently very busy so i cant do it but I’d be very excited if someone else did it
I don’t have the skills to make a bot. I was just going to try manually doing a few.
I’ve got at least some experience writing reddit bots, I can give it a shot if there’s interest (or at least get one set up)

Is this idea different from a pinned discussion thread that is live during the game? I am not too familiar with how it is done on reddit or twitch.
Different subreddits handle it differently, but, yes, a discussion thread during games. I have no idea if there’s a Twitch equivalent, I was just using chaotic, fast-moving, useless Twitch chat as an analogy for what the Reddit discussion threads have turned into.
If you don’t mind the effort of running one, I’m onboard! It’ll be interesting to see the quality of posts with such a smaller audience. I also don’t think it’s as important to have something like a bot create a running box score; the more important thing is being able to just discuss the game with other people.
NFL game threads and Fantasy Football updates are the two things i really want to be able to have here, I’d love to get those
