Japan and Germany are in a fierce competition to set the record for highest number of niche words.

As a multilingual person who knows slang in English and Spanish among others, this word and definition hits different. To me it reads sort of like “coochie is a bichi” aka “vagina is a penis”. Which I can see eating if one’s mouth is lonely.

My favorite Japanese word is Shitsureishimasu. It literally means “I will do something rude” but my Japanese friend interpreted to me as “I’m sorry for molesting you” so that’s what goes thru my head when I use it.
