There’s comments of people who were born there stating they no longer can afford living there, and there’s imbeciles saying communism doesn’t work, because they didn’t like how the social housing looked like. Of course, there’s also racist shitheads bringing immigration up. I hate people. Also, handyman ghosted me without coming, so my leaking water heater continues leaking. It’s been weeks. :(

    Ok, the handyman came.

My favourite is a comment saying “Can we talk about the fact the communists destroyed the city?” from a guy who keeps spamming videos, one titled “Feeling unfulfilled in my sexual experiences”, some other about Jesus and flat Earth. WTF.

Found this little source from france-cool Wikipedia: “Pemezec sails in the waters of the extreme right”

    https://archive.wikiwix.com/cache/index2.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.humanite.fr%2Fpolitique%2Fpemezec-navigue-dans-les-eaux-de-l%25E2%2580%2599extreme-droite-491224#federation=archive.wikiwix.com&tab=url

    (translated from the frog language)

Philippe Pemezec, UMP mayor of Plessis-Robinson since 1989 (he draws great pride in having “torn the city from communist rule”), vice-president of the general council, a former deputy, did not, however, learn any lessons from his masters to think. Especially the rule number one: learning to hold one’s own language. Claire Checcaglini, author of Welcome to the National Front. Journal d’un infiltré, unveils the words made (recorded) by this UMP mayor: “I never mistaken as an enemy, I am right-wing and I even voted Jean-Marie Le Pen in 2002 against Jacques Chirac.

I thought 15 minute cities were a plot by the woke libs to make it look like going into debt for my Dodge truck was a bad investment? You’re telling me both sides of the political spectrum want to get in on this to make money, and marketing this as removing commie blocks and commie architecture is how you sell this concept to the right? No way.

The journalist explains that she met him in December as part of the sponsorship hunt for Marine Le Pen. “I participate in the commissions for the allocation of social housing at the Hauts-de-Seine departmental office. And I can tell you that in Plessis, there aren’t many Arabs. I am very careful,” explains the aedile, believing that he is addressing an extreme right-wing accomplice.

france-cool redlining appears to be the secret sauce in the mayor’s formula here in this neighborhood. It sure is weird that this video doesn’t go into that part.

Comments mention the video is propaganda. I mean, it literally uses filters and music to create an idea that simple architecture is bad. While showing quite nice buildings. Thank you for looking details up! <3

Yeah it’s no wonder the comments suck then, the producer blew all the right dog whistles for the hogs to show up. The producer is trying to sell the 15 minute city concept to the right by calling it anticommunist, while hiding the real messy details that made this transformation work from the liberals. It all felt very tailor-made by a think-tank.
