I genuinely believe that china have all of the secrets of silicon manufacturing already taken from basically every company that does it. Like, I think that the civilian science and tech sector are made to research and manufacture the technology themselves so that they have plenty of scientists and engineers familiar with furthering the technology. But if real actual global war started tomorrow, their security state can just pull out a folder labeled ‘all TSMC research’ and build completely equivalent foundries in a month.
