For anyone who happens to live in the Motherland, and recognises either the word “piá” or the word “guri”: use this info to plant Araucaria pines. They were here in the Motherland before us, and they shall last after us too.
You yourself might never see their pines, or enjoy their nuts. But the next generations will.
I don’t recognise them but here in Australia, we have our own edible Araucaria, A.bidwillii - Bunya Pine. If one is young enough, should see some nuts in 20 years or so (before phytophthora kills them - a new disease destroying Bunya Pines in our location).
