I’m coming from /r/nz on Reddit, and with the recent changes to the API I feel /r/nz needs a new home. Wondering if there are any other NZ-centric communities other than Reddit, Masterdon and Lemmy?
Great! This must be really new? I noticed the lemmy.nz domain was registered a while ago, so great to see it being used.
There’s a NZ hosted Lemmy server with a newzealand community. It’s still quite new but sharing it here in case people come looking.

You could always make one. Would be very appropriate to make a NZ instance and advertise it. I’m sure you’re not the only Kiwi around.
Indeed. It’s difficult to know whether to create an entirely new instance for NZ related activity, or just use an existing one. I guess it depends on how overloaded the instances get as the Reddit exodus continues. This sub looks nice, it has a nice bird banner and Aotearoa New Zealand is a more inclusive name than just NZ I think. So why not make it home?
