Although Alberta workers enjoy the highest wages in the country, they haven’t been keeping up with inflation. And it’s worsened over the last 4 years.

An article from the Alberta Worker explains that over the last decade from 2013, the average pay in Alberta has dropped when adjusted for inflation, especially since 2020, having one of the worst increases over that timeframe. This while the province has one of the highest average costs of living.
