Bah, make a Cron job to run every second to kill the process.
Fun dumb story.
One time I was running a Windows server and it would constantly run the setting sync host processes and redline the machine. It was a known bug with the OS and the patches I had applied did not fix it. It was such a high priority process I couldn’t just kill it normally, so I set up a timed job to put it to sleep every 15 minutes. That solved the issue.
