'Partial, sun-lit view of “Armillasphäre”* a 2012 sculpture by Daniel Chiquet. The parts are made from enamelled stainless steel.
*An armillary sphere is a model of the celestial globe constructed from rings and hoops representing the equator, the tropics, and other celestial circles. I assume this is the artist’s impressionistic rendering of this ancient astronomical device.
