E - Emmy
G - Grammy
O - Oscar
T - Tony
Thanks, I didn’t want to have to read the article to find that out.
In return, did you know that in Lemmy you can put two spaces at the end of the line to not start a new paragraph?
E - Emmy
G - Grammy
O - Oscar
T - TonyI didn’t know that.
Huh, neat!Comment of the day
I read the article and still had to do a web search for that acronym because it wasn’t explained in the article.
They’re forgetting Tracy Jordan
Do you mind if I Google myself in your office?
“I trained my dog to hate white people. Not to be racist, but most ghosts are white”
Honestly surprised Lady Gaga or Lin Manuel haven’t picked one up yet.
Lion is trying really hard. I think he’s just missing the Oscar (and tick tick boom was really trying hard to win one)
Trey Parker is also only missing the Oscar, which I really hope he gets at some point because that would be hilarious.
Also Martin Scorsese is just missing the Tony, so I propose we have Scorsese direct a Broadway adaptation of Cannibal! The Musical, and Trey Parker direct a film remake of Taxi Driver and see if we can put this to rights.
Trey, fuck yes!
I dunno about this variety special he’s in now, but he should have gotten an Emmy for his Muppet Show performance in 1978 anyway. It’s easily one of the best episodes of TV ever!
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Elton John is now an EGOT after his Emmy win on Monday night for outstanding variety special (live) for his show “Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium.”
John was not at Monday night’s Emmy Awards to accept his win, as he is recovering from a knee operation.
The 76-year-old singer’s partner, David Furnish, was at the ceremony however and updated everyone on John’s reaction to receiving the award.
Ben Winston, one of the producers of the special, accepted the award on the singer’s behalf.
Elton John performed the last set of his final tour in Stockholm, Sweden, in July.
The rock legend slipped at his home in Nice, France, in August and spent the night at a hospital as a precautionary measure.

He hasn’t won an Emmy before?
