Tesla Inc. notified workers at its California car plant of pay increases across its US factories, the latest bump by a nonunion automaker the United Auto Workers is trying to organize
This is how unions work for everyone
Now these workers should join UAW cause it’s the right thing to do if they’re benefiting from the unions work.
Which means they will absolutely get more if they just unionize. Tesla blinked, time to get what you deserve people.
It’s crazy that they weren’t union already. Doesn’t that make Tesla the only non-union car manufacturer in the USA?
Mercedes-Benz has a plant in Alabama I know the UAW got its eyes on.
I feel like I read a while back that the Japanese car plants tend to be non unionized. Not sure about now but at the very least it looks like the Honda plant in Marysville Ohio wasn’t union as recently as 2019.
No as far as I know for consumer cars only the big three are unionized. All the foreign manufacturers with plants in the US are non union.
Nice! Free pay raise right before forming a union.
One way to look at: “here’s a pay increase to help subsidize your new union!”
If even the threat of a union can improve outcomes, imagine how good it would be to actually be unionised!
I want them to double-unionize. Your move, Tesla.
Yo dawg, I heard you like unions…
It won’t last.
Remember all of the tech companies hired tens of thousands of people last year… Before they fired tens of thousands of people last year.
The only way Tesla ever gets a union is if musk is dead.
