Movie Paul from 2011 is getting so many downloads for some reason 480.73.
Anyone have an explantion as to why?
Nice try, Paul’s producers.
Perhaps some Youtube’s done a video on it… I feel like I’ve seen a headline or link saying something like “Why Paul is underrated” recently.
I didn’t know there was an extended version, do the extra 6 minutes add anything? Maybe not
Thing that gets me. This is the 720p version… surely people would want the 1080p version? Lol
I have a friend who always downloads the smallest (by file size) copy of any video he can find. He has a 75" 4k TV, 5.1 surround speakers, the whole setup but he downloads 720p in stereo almost exclusively. He says he just doesn’t care about the video or audio quality. It blows my mind, but some people are just weird.
Edit: Also, Paul is just a funny movie, if you’re into goofy movie references.
Easier to find a 75" in 4k than 720p resolution I guess?
But I can’t rationalize the sound aspect.Wait till you find out about the people who play shooters at literally the lowest quality possible AND 30fps
Edit: from my friend who does this, he likes the idea of using as little power as possible
In some cases it renders less in the game, making the game easier, too.
A lot of pros play shooters at low just to get more fps.
I’m talking about what the YouTuber LowSpecGamer used to do. Running fallout 4 on a fire stick type stuff.
I roll a d4 for my FPS at the lowest possible quality. I literally can’t go higher.
If they’re watching on a phone, 720 might be fine. My preferred resolution depends a lot on what device I’m watching on and its screen size.
720 is dvd quality… which is good enough for most people… plus the file size is much smaller… plus a lot of people watch shit on their phones anyways
Probably just an extra six minutes of Seth Rogan’s annoying laugh.
Na, man. It’s too damn long
Thanks. Ill download it now
Honestly, I don’t even remember it being that funny. I haven’t gave it a second thought since its release. The power of social media marketing, I guess.
If you’ve never seen Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, I’d encourage you instead to take a look at Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz, both really good movies.
My problem was I watched it expecting Cornetto trilogy and got stoner comedy so didn’t enjoy it as much. Going in expecting stoner comedy (when in the mood for it) a few years later increases the enjoyment factor.
Paul versus Baby Driver really illustrates what Nick Frost and Simon Pegg’s chemistry bring to a movie versus what Edgar Wright’s directing brings to a movie.
And even in combination, the trio only nailed it two out of three times. The World’s End is just… okay.
It’s not great.
Its a great movie! Get onboard, do the lemming thing and follow.
(Sometimes a label is a distraction. expand your mind.)
Something like this happened to me once before. I sent a pm to the tracker staff to ask about it; they responded that a leecher had a borked client causing it to repeatedly download the torrent again. I suspect something like that is what is happening here.

I’ve never seen it, but now I’m going to watch it too. Thanks OP!
Enjoy. It’s wonderful
Nooope ignore me I misremembered the billboard I saw
On January 11 (in Canada) a Paul prequel tv show will be released, perhaps all the interest isbeing generated by marketing for that shows release
What is the name of the show? I’m interested but unable to find articles about the show or who’s in it.
Omg its a ted prequel tv show I saw a billboard for, not Paul, sorry I have no idea about the Paul movie interest
My mistake!
Wait, what!!??!?!
Yeah there’s gunna be a prequel tv show for the ted movie with someone else playing the younger version of mark Wahlbergs character. It’s out January 11. I only saw the billboard on my way to work though.
Not even sure if Seth MacFarlane will still voice ted but hope so otherwise that will be… Not a good show IMO
YouTube and/or tiktok shorts.
Social media influencers seems likely.
