“You know and I know it’s the toughest, most efficient, most effective border security bill this country’s ever seen,” Biden said. “So instead of playing politics with the issue, why don’t we just get together and get it done?”
Biden touted the bipartisan border bill as “a win for the American people,” calling it a “truly bipartisan initiative.” He called on the Senate to reconsider the bill, asking senators to “set politics aside” and for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., to put the bill on the floor.
“We need to act,” Biden said, adding that Republicans in Congress needed to “show a little spine.”
Biden would rather appeal to xenophobic reactionaries about the border than address the concerns from his own base on Israel.
No, Biden is showing that there is no interest in solving the issue.
Giving trump any legitimacy is a mistake imho, but that’s another subject.
Correct. He’s calling the GOP bluff and forcing them to move on from the border issue, by exposing it as a non issue

So this hurts Biden, and doesn’t do a damn thing but help trump because it makes it look like Biden agrees with him after Dems just spent 7 years saying Trump was horrible for this and lying about how big of an issue it is.
Some voters may be stupid enough not to put all that together. But they’re the ones that show up and vote the same every election with zero thought about it.
And who is he trying to show that to?
Undecided voters, and voters that do care about the border but not nessicarily buy into the maga cult.
I.e. xenophobic reactionaries
