Serious now, this sort of malicious compliance is great. Reddit Inc. cannot claim that the subreddits are private, nor that this is “against the wishes of the communities” (as the protest was voted). It forces Reddit Inc. to shows its trotters, and it’s specially meaningful because it’s happening in the large subs, the ones that tend to gather the “I don’t care” people.
