I have the latest stable version. I cannot get the program to actually change any LEDs off my MSI mobo. I also have Corsair RAM and that works just fine. I have 3 RGB fans and two strips all chained to a single ARGB header. The system of course starts with Rainbow but nothing I do changes anything, no matter how I resize the zone (I believe I have either 44 or 32 total LEDs.) Even in Mystic Light itself it doesn’t work! ORGB recognizes my MS board fine on USB; but no changes actually happen. I have a Z490A-PRO. Any help would be much appreciated; I’m one of the many that never want to open the bloated MSI center ever again.

Finally figured it out. Had my controller using a preset of its own; I had to change the mode to mobo controlled. Sorry about that!!

So I now have direct control with just some weirdness. The colors do not correspond to what is set; there appears to be some mapping or shift in play. And the brightness controller also just loops on itself. And finally for effects like “Breathe”, instead of the smooth dimming, it just has a stepped (discrete) effect, not continuous.

I’m not familiar with the MSI boards that support per LED direct mode on the ARGB headers. They added that capability in later boards than the ones I have and support was added by a user named thombo on our Discord. You would probably have to ask him. By effects in this case, are you referring to the effects plugin or the modes in the Mode drop-down? The modes are effects built into the hardware.
