Drugs have saved millions of lives and been immensely beneficial to many millions more, but we are now in a crisis of overprescription. Many of those drugs are taken for life and moat come with a cost. The US medical system is designed to put people on drugs, not get them off and that needs to change if we want to improve our health care and cut the outrageous costs it entails.
