People post the xkcd Cake is a Lie comic to try and elaborate on you losing on the social aspect of avoiding the hype train.

But then I see posts made yesterday about Afraid of Monsters and think: Dumbest xkcd punchline. People are STILL making jokes like that out of games older than Portal.
