Hey! I know the community is only small currently, but how much of a push will there be to get this community on par with the subreddit?
While there is only a small community here currently, and the lack of content posted so far isn’t exactly going to draw people in, is there any plans set by the current mod to say post a link to the subreddit, or discuss with a mod there to try and get some traction here by posting it in the sidebar or similar?
I’m not even sure how that subreddit stands in the blackout on 12-14th June, but having this community built out isn’t going to hurt, i imagine there will become a point, assuming this community gets in similar size to the reddit one, that most content would be easily cross posted when the images are hosted on imgur or similar anyway.
I’m all for helping out where I can, I’ve only posted like twice on the Factorio subreddit, so i’m not exactly going to open the flood gates in any capacity, but just wondering if there is currently a plan?
Yeah, when you look at the numbers in the whole “lemmyverse” it really puts it into contrast, i just assumed there was already more activity in these websites than there was!
I have seen a few posts around about what kind of communities are missing from the lemmy and what people want to see, its what initially drove me to search for the factorio community, so it is clear just how many are getting created constantly.
I like the approach you are taking with it though, to just let it be a space to discuss the game that isn’t necessarily in competition or in parallel with the subreddit or other factorio forums, but just exists as a place for people to post in and share about the game!
Thaks for getting back, I look forward to community that can grow here!
