“When the White House is facing Congressional Republican opposition claiming that the Biden administration has ‘weaponized’ the Bureau against the right wing, it has to tread very carefully,” says a senior FBI official.

A lot of people might not be familiar, but I never trusted Robert Mueller at being in any way good at his job after he had bungled the 2001 Anthrax Letters case twice. First owning money for defamation for the first person they pinned it on, and then harassing Bruce Ivins to death only for it to be later proven that their claims of proof were a lot less significant than the FBI claimed.

Also, let’s not forget the Anthrax Letters was a big scary much-ado-about-nothing. No one was harmed, but it fed into the narrative of the War on Terror, allowing Bush to continue pushing the idea that we needed to be able to spy on all Americans, because you never know who could be a bad guy or what the fuck ever. Bush definitely promoted anthrax as one of the scary weapons Saddam Hussein had.
If you don’t have a lot of questions as to why the whole situation happened the way it did and aren’t skeptical of Mueller’s investigation capabilities, I don’t know what to say. In respect to Trump, Mueller was there to put on a show of acting like they were doing something while not doing much at all. Trump still walks free.
I feel like I have a lot of recent justified reasons for not trusting the FBI. The history of the organization just shows they’ve always been a right-wing organization. In other words, cops.
